History

VAG's roots go back to 1872, the year in which Carl Bopp and Carl Reuther set up a special factory that manufactured pumps and industrial valves. In just a few years, Bopp & Reuther was a company with international standing.

The sales company VAG-Armaturen GmbH was founded when Bopp & Reuther and a number of other valve manufacturing companies joined forces. Already in the 1920s, VAG was the market leader in South America. The frequent introduction of innovative products soon gained the company the reputation of pioneer.

For decades, VAG has been moving towards becoming a modern, global solution provider. Today, the VAG group has manufacturing sites in Germany, the Czech Republic and China.
